Examples
To engage with curriculum requirements
Here, I provided digital cameras to the students to retell familiar stories through images taken, as students found it difficult to remember what they did on the weekend with their 'home buddy' and being able to write about their weekend. The students could re tell the story events and characters included from the photos. This assisted students in knowing what the features of a reccount story are.
In the Australian Curriculum it states that learners should be able to retell familiar texts and events.
